The New Mutants Trailer
Marvel’s New Mutants assemble as Disney’s delayed dark X-Men film finally sees the light
After Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox left the long-delayed film lingering in limbo, a hellish new trailer reveals their plans for Fox’s final X-Men film. Finally set to release in April this year, The New Mutants promises to be the darkest Marvel film yet as a group of young mutants seek to escape from the isolated hospital where they are being held against their will. Bursting with mayhem and superheroic horrors, the trailer for the X-Men spin-off introduces the five gifted youngsters who come from all walks of life and find themselves far from the safety of Professor X’s legendary school. Game Of Thrones’ Maisie Williams is Scottish mutant Rahne Sinclair who can transform into a wolf, Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton is American mutant Sam Guthrie who can propel himself in the air like a cannonball, and Split’s Anya Taylor-Joy is Russian mutant Illyana Rasputin who possesses magical powers of teleportation and sorcery. Henry Zaga plays Brazilian mutant Roberto da Costa who can harness solar energy and Blu Hunt stars as the newest inmate Danielle Moonstar who can conjure illusions from people’s fears and desires. From the looks of the trailer, the teens will be tested like never before as they set out to master their burgeoning powers and escape the confines of their most unusual prison, and the sins of their past.
